Like most illustrators, I’ve been drawing all my life. My first experience in cartooning came in high school with the publishing of a weekly comic strip in our local newspaper in Alden N.Y. called, Donavinn.
Even though I went to college for music, I kept on drawing. This produced several more comic strip ideas about kids, cats, and even a pet rat. But as time went on, I had to put my hobby aside to help raise a family. This, of course, fueled my imagination to do a comic strip about twin boys based on my two sons.
As my boys grew older, I turned to both writing and illustrating. I self-published several children’s books available at Amazon.com; Acorn Park, Year One!, Dustin McCarthy Tames a Tiger; When the Boggles Come Out; The Mysterious Gift of Mr. Octavinosh; and a YA Fantasy novel, Phoenix Lakota and the Seraph’s Gate.
My goal is to continue writing and illustrating until I can turn my passion into a full time career!
